File > Export > Export Multiple… > Export
Then, Edit Metadata Tags [OK] (for each file).
Then, the file exports begin.
Then, I start working any other application, such as my word processor, which sends Audacity to the background.
Unfortunately, when Audacity finishes exporting one file and begins exporting the next, it throws its export dialog (with Stop and Cancel buttons) into the foreground. Then, as I’m working in my word processor, if I happen to hit Enter when Audacity’s dialog is in the foreground, the Export stops.
I’ve been using Audacity for many years and I don’t recall this being an issue until recently. Audacity should stay in the background until something requires my attention.
