Export Multiple (Creates Static Noise)

I’m running OS 10.14.1n and using Audacity 2.3.0 but have been having this issue with previous versions and OSs. Whenever I do an Export Multiple, each file has a few seconds of static noise at the beginning of each song file. If I Export Selected and do each song separately there is no problem. It’s a pain to have to do each one individually rather than automate it using the Export Multiple command.
Any ideas?

What file format are you exporting to (MP3, WAV, AIF, OGG, etc.)?
