Export Dialog Box - Format/Options Issue [SOLVED]

I’m attempting to export a file as an mp3 and I’m absolutely baffled right now. I’m working in Audacity 2.1.0 and I followed all of the instructions for downloading and installing the LAME MP3 encoder.

To export, I go to File > Export Audio. The export dialog box is the problem. Nothing happens when I click on “Format”—nothing at all. I can only assume that mp3 and other formats are contained within that dropdown?

If I click on “Options…” three or four times, then I’m given this message: http://d.pr/i/Je2K.

Am I missing something here? I’ve spent a fair amount of time searching here and elsewhere, but haven’t come up with anything relevant yet.

See http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/file_export_dialog.html.

In the Export Audio dialog, click where it says “WAV (Microsoft) signed 16-bit PCM” and choose “MP3 files”. Then click Options… if you want to change the MP3 export bit rate.

If clicking the WAV choice does nothing, then probably you retinized Audacity with Retinizer and you will have to unretinize it.

Yep, I Retinized Audacity. Problem solved.

Thanks for your help, Gale!
