I am using Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS 64bit and Audacity 2.2.1. I installed my distribution’s release. I looked at the FAQs but could not see this question. Apologies if I missed it. I would like to even out the volume on some downloaded podcast MP3s of people debating on-line. Some contributors are very quiet and some are very loud. Will Audacity help me to even out the volume of the different speakers? Is there a plug-in or combination of effects that will do this? Thanks for any help.
There’s a plug-in that can do this, but note that it will probably have to make some of the louder tracks quieter.
