Error when getting WASAPI to work with loopback (Realtek headphones)

hey, been using audacity for years, just got 3.3.3 and im having trouble getting it to work with loopback which i use a lot to record audio on my computer.

im on Windows 10. ive tried all WASAPI, MME, DirectSound, rebooting the program, restarting my PC, reinstalling the program, still getting the same old error.

this is really @@@@@@ annoying because i do not currently have another way to record computer audio. im gonna try updating my alienware drivers but if that doesn’t work im %%%%%. please help

ok nevermind i installed my drivers and the UI completely changed. i think maybe i had set the recording channels wrong??? no ******* clue. anyway if anyone knows why the #### that all happened they are free to help but i think i may be good now
