I installed U-Phoria UMC404HD in order to record four tracks simultaneously and after reverting the UMC driver to a previous version a am now able to record four tracks at the same time. The problem is that now, I am unable to press shift - R to add a track or append one of the four tracks and record onto the end of that track. I get the dreaded : Error Code 9997 Invalid Sample Rate. If I delete the four recorded tracks I can start over but when I try to add to the end of any of the tracks I get the message and cannot continue without deleting the tracks as mentioned. Any ideas on this topic, thanks. I’m using Audacity 2.3.3
Do you have all four tracks selected when you attempt to append them?
Have you checked in the Windows Sound control panel that the UMC404HD is set for the same sample rate for both recording and playback?
