Error Importing .aup File

I Had Done A Project In Audacity And I Saved My Project. After Sometime I Opened My Project File!
When I Open That It Shows A Error Message
"Audacity did not recognize the type of the file “C:/users/…” If it is uncompressed, try importing it using “Import Raw”.

Audacity knows perfectly well what an AUP file is and how to use it, it just couldn’t figure out how to use yours.
Either copy it as an attachment to the forum (scroll down > Upload attachment > Browse)

Or open your AUP in a text editor (Notepad??)

I expect it to have semi-English text instructions in it like this. This one has been gussied up for graphic attractiveness.

Also, make sure you did use File > Open… and not File > Import > Audio… .

According to that message you have an old version of Audacity. I suggest you obtain the latest Audacity 2.1.2 release from http://audacityteam.org/download/windows.
