Error: Couldn't find symbol in a dynamic library

Hi there,
a project created with audacity 3.1.1 (size 90MB) won’t open with version 3.1.2. Instead I got an error message box with “Error Opening Project”.

The log (I already sent the log via the audacity log sending feature) shows:
“Error: Couldn’t find symbol ‘avcodec_free_context’ in a dynamic library (error 127: Die angegebene Prozedur wurde nicht gefunden.)
ParseString error: Error: not well-formed (invalid token) at line 3”

The error occurs on different hardware (desktop and notebook) each with operating system Windows 10 Pro 21H1 (10.0.19043); ffmpeg for audacity: 2.2.2
Downgrading to audacity 3.1.1 will open up the project again.

I have no physical machine with Linux available to cross check this on linux, sorry.

Does your project load in 3.1.3?

We have a 3.1.3 beta for you to test. It should significantly speed things up (especially loading in) and also fixed a crash, but it did require large under-the-hood changes, so we want to know if anything breaks with real projects.
