error -9999 Audacity 3.0.4 Windows 10 updated

Hi. I have the latest Audacity version.
I try to record some vinyls by using a Pionner PLX 500. And when I click the record buttom, the error -9999 message appears.
I have read in these forums, something about the use of the microphone, but I don´t know what does it means or what does it refers to.
The PLX 500 device, is shown as USB Audio Codec.
I don´t know what anything else should I have to change on the Audacity preferences.
I wonder if somebody could help me.
Thank you very much in advance.

OK, this could be a number of things.

  1. Do you have Windows permission to use your microphone? Turn on app permissions for your microphone in Windows 10

  2. Try Transport > Rescan audio devices

  3. Try switching between MME and WASAPI.

  4. Try rebooting

  5. For other suggestions, type “9999” into the search bar in the upper right-hand corner of this page.
