Equalizing Recording Level

I have Windows 7 Pro O.S. with the latest version of Audacity.

Is there a way to equalize the recording level of any input source (such as from music captured from the sound card, not from a microphone) so that the PLAYBACK of all the songs are at the same level? In other words, if a particular song is at a little low level and another song is at a high level by contrast, when both are recorded via Audacity, both songs when played back are at the same volume level.

Does Audacity have this EQ capability (perhaps some setting/s somewhere)?

Thanks for your help.

No setting somewhere. Audacity doesn’t do anything in real time except start, stop and timer record. Some Real Time is available in Audacity 2.1.1, but that’s on Playback not Record.
