In order to edit in Audacity I need to have the playhead cursor visible on the screen when I stop Audacity. As of now, it is visible only while the software is playing. In addition to having the playhead visible when Audicity stops, it would be so helpful if there were a way to reverse play the cursor to wherever I want it in order to delete a selection of the tape. Is this possible?
My operating system is Windows 10; I an using Audacity v. 3.1.3.
Press pause rather than stop.
Then you can select a region of audio near the paused cursor.
scrubbing ? … Scrubbing and Seeking - Audacity Manual
or press “X” to stop at the cursor position (“X marks the spot”)
Thank you!
