Editing issues...need help ASAP

Hello,

Editing use to be so simple!
I use to click and put the cursor exactly where I wanted…editing out breaths and more.

Now, in the newer version 3.6 & 7, when I click to place my cursor exactly where I want it on the waveform, it doesn’t work like in previous versions.

I click to place my cursor and it moves to a completely different spot on the waveform…I keep clicking to place the cursor precisely where I want it, but it does not cooperate. Either nothing happens or it goes to a completely different spot…very frustrating.

What’s going on here!!
Please help me ASAP…I have work to complete.

Maybe Select At Zero Crossings is enabled?

Trebor’s reply is probably right. I usually have ‘Snap to Samples’ but you can choose anything else from seconds to milliseconds. The control is at the bottom of the window.
