editing audio clip (project)

HI guys,

I have a project on editing an dog bark audio clip.
got a clip from the net and edited it a bit, but it was unsatisfactory. i need help on cleaning the audio and making the dog bark seem closer
because it sounds though as if its 10m away, i would like it to sound life like. How do i go about this?

i have attached the mp3 file. any help is highly appreciated.

Is this the original file?
If so, you’ll better keep on searching. It has an inferior quality. Furthermore, it is 6 dB over the clipping limit.
Search for a *.wav file.
