Easy switch between Spectrogram Window Sizes?

I’m looking for an easier way to switch between spectrogram window sizes. The best would be two keys to go up or down in window size (e.g. 256, 512, 1024, 2048) but if it’s easier, I would just want one key to set to 512, and another key to set to 1024. Is this possible somehow? I am not familiar with the scripting capabilities in Audacity but it looks like it could be done that way.

The easiest way when looking at the spectrogram of one track, is:

  1. Open the spectrogram settings from the track’s drop-down menu (see: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/audio_track_dropdown_menu.html)
  2. Change the settings as required and then click the Preview button.
  3. To apply the changes and close the settings window, click the OK button.

Thanks for the reply. That’s how I’ve been doing it, but I’m needing a way to quickly toggle between different window sizes as I jump between small and large time scales. I have to do this hundreds/thousands of times in a single 8+ hour audio file.

It should be possible to do this with Macro commands, but I’ve just checked and it doesn’t work. I’ve logged the issue as a bug.
