Dropouts

I have several hundred dropouts that appear on my recording of a 5 album set of over 2 hours.
Do they affect the recording when I import it into iTunes? Can I simply ignore them?
Is there an easy and convenient way to delete them. Right now I am going to Edit Labels and deleting them one at a time

If you aren’t hearing any defects (clicks or pops, etc.) caused by the dropouts, of course you can ignore them.

Dropouts are gaps or missing bits of audio, so no you can’t delete them and the defect-imperfection remains when you export to a file and import into iTunes.

You don’t have to delete the labels… If you export to WAV, MP3, M4A, etc., they will be “lost”. But if you are otherwise using labels for something else they might interfere with what you’re doing.

You may want to listen carefully to a few of the dropout locations to see if you can hear anything missing.

Have a look at this FAQ. Maybe try recording a song or two and seeing if any of the setting changes help.

You can delete all the dropout labels by simply deleting the label track. If you want to do Export Multiple to export each song as an individual file then simply add a new label track and put new labels in the appropriate places.
