Download and use sampled tones in Audacity

Hello, good morning everyone!

I say that, for educational reasons, I’m late regarding the latest Audacity updates.
In this sense, can anyone guide me on how I can download and use the samples in Audacity? That is, use another timbre in audio format so that I can replace the existing one in the file?
Any guidance and tips will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you very much in advance!

Sorry, what samples are you trying to download? Audacity can generate tones but it doesn’t normally come with samples. Of course Audacity can record or open existing audio files.

The most common effects for changing the “timbre” of sounds are the EQ and Filters effects, and maybe compression/limiting. Or there are some “distortion” effects.

Hello! Thanks for the teaching.
I’m referring to samples (sound samples) of musical instruments such as guitar, piano, drums, strings, among others…
I thought Audacity loaded these sound samples in MP3 or Wav format, like the Reaper software for example.
The effects you mentioned, I know and use all of them in Audacity.

Hugs friend!
