Greetings, all. New to this. I was able to import my audio files, using the raw option. My goal is to segment the live performance into 14 tracks. Despite reading the tutorials I fail to be able to play the thing at all. It stops instantaneously and there is no sound. Using Windows 7 for the moment. Can anyone please help a newby? I thought my troubles were over when I got past the hurdle of importing, since the file was not recognized: it is a WP3 or WP4, and it plays on the CD I used to upload it to computer, and the computer file also plays. When I chose the raw data option, suddenly it imported, so I thought I was doing great. So, why does the Play function not operate for me?
I’ve never heard of that. Google says that’s a “Windows Photo Story” file. Where did it come from?
Raw import only works on uncompressed files and you have to know (or guess) the format details. I assume WP3 an WP4 files are compressed. Compression has a lot in common with encryption so the raw compressed files are scrambled garbage until they are properly decompressed/decoded.
If you haven’t done so already, install [u]FFmpeg[/u] FFmpeg can encode/decode most audio (and audio/video) formats.
