Does FFmpeg v2.2.2 really support AC3?

If there is a trick is making FFmepg support AC3 in Audacity, I’d be grateful for someone to point it out to me. Here are the steps I used, which fail.

  1. Make sure Audacity is not running.
  2. Run app → English → Next → Next → install to default location:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Audacity\FFmpeg

  1. Finish.
  2. Launch Audacity → Edit → Preferences → Libraries.
  3. Click on “FFmpeg Library Locate” button.
  4. If notified “Audacity has automatically detected valid FFmpeg libraries. Do you still want to locate them manually?” select “Yes.”
  5. If you do not see the following path…

C:\Program Files (x86)\FFmpeg\avformat-55.dll

… click “Browse” then navigate to above location → double-click on file “avformat-55.dll.”

  1. OK → OK.
  2. Preferences → Libraries → you should see “FFmpeg Library Version:” as…

F(55.33.100),C(55.52.102),U(52.66.100)

If FFmpeg does not actually support AC3, can someone direct me from where I might download the filter?

Can you import this file with Audacity?
test.ac3 (195 KB)

Thanks for your kind response. I just discovered that my audio was turned off (sigh!). All is working fine. Sorry for the inconvenience.
