Can any one help please?
I have just upgraded to a new PC and have a KAM USBH100 sound recorder but the level for recording to audcity from my vinyl is heavily distorted? I have seen previous topics covering this but have been unable to turn the level down? I previously used Vista but have now moved onto windows 7? Does the latest version of audacity fix this?
Upgrading to the latest version of Audacity is unlikely to fix this because it is not an Audacity issue, however it is worth updating to the latest version as it is the best version so far. You can get it here (currently version 2.0.2) http://audacityteam.org/download/windows
I assume that you have checked the instructions for the KAM USBH100 to see if there is a physical volume control anywhere on the device? If there is, use that, if not you will need to adjust the level in the Windows Sounds Control Panel (Recording tab) http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Mixer_Toolbar_Issues#vistacp
