Distortion in Audio

Please can someone advise me of the settings I should have using audacity.

I have the volume levels down at 3
Windows Dire selected
Primary Sound Driver
Mic 2 USB Audio
I Mono

I haven’t changed the settings but all of a sudden I’m getting some distortion in my audio clips.

Be grateful for any help thanks.

Check [u]Microphone Boost[/u] and [u]enhancements[/u].

As long as Windows isn’t messing with the sound, Audacity will simply capture the digital data stream from the USB mic and you get whatever the mic is putting-out.
