Distorted audio with t.c. electronic konnekt live

I have noticed that owners of some other audio devices have reported same kind of issues and I have tried all the proposed settings with no help. Playback from Audacity via Konnekt Live gets distorted and all the other applications producing audio in my Mac do not!

Konnekt Live is connected via Firewire port to my Mac.

I am running MacBook Pro:

  • Processor 2,53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
  • Memory 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
  • Software OS X 10.9.1 (13B42)

I have latest software version of t.c. electronic Konnekt Live:
Firmware version 2.02
Controlpanel & software package versions are ver 2.5.1

Please tell us what settings changes you have made.

Did you adjust “audio to buffer” in the Audacity Recording Preferences?


According to http://www.tcelectronic.com/konnekt-live/support/ the latest software version is 3.2.0.

Where is the audio data you’re playing in Audacity stored?

Now this problem seems to have disappeared. Mysterious.

I tested with many file formats and result - no distortion. I need to investigate this further.
