Hi all,
I buyed audacity 2.0.3. for digitalization of my music cassettes.
But when I am recording (I am using Windows 10 64 bit), there is a loud hum (AC hum???).
I am living in Germany near Hamburg.
How can I recording without such humming sound???
Thank you for your help!

Audacity is a FREE open source program and you can download version 2.3.3 here .
How are you connected to the computer?
Is the hum on the tape? Do you hear it when you listen to the analog tape? And do you hear the hum when the tape is stopped/paused?

Hi,
well I am connected to the computer via USB 2.0.
No, the hum is not on the tape but on the recording.

Steve’s de-hum filter is worth a try … hum during live recording - #8 by Trebor
but if the tape is not running at a constant speed you’ll need a de-hum filter which tracks the varying frequency.
