I’m digitising vinly albums to MP3. I add a label for each track, e.g. “01 Song Name 1”, “02 Song Name 2”, etc. Then I do “Export multiple” and get files called “01 Song Name 1.mp3”, etc.
The “title” field within the MP3 file is “01 Song Name 1”. It would be nice if there was a way to have the “01” removed from the label when it is copied to the Title field of the metadata.
I use MP3Tag to edit the metadata. With MP3Tag, you can also add album artwork.
Then I do “Export multiple” and get files called “01 Song Name 1.mp3”, etc.
That’s up to you but it shouldn’t be necessary since your player software can read the track number from the metadata and (optionally) play the songs in order. (I do include the track number in the file name with certain albums where the sequence is “important”, such as Broadway Musicals.)
Thanks. MP3Tag looks cool!
