Hi,
I tried to connect my Roland DR 700GX-Keyboard via USB with my PC. The driver was found, but I couldn’t find the device in Audacity.
I did something wrong. Can someone help me.
Are you sure, that the USB of ROLAND DR-700 offers a AUDIO-INTERFACE? As I remember it’s USB is only for MIDI connections. You need a SEQUENCER Software like CUBASE to record MIDI-Events.
If you want to record real audio, AUDACITY is the right software, but now you need AUDIO cables to connect the keyboard (OUTPUT R+L) with the PC. If the PC is a tower, you have several Audio-Ins on the backside of the PC. If you have a laptop or want to have better quality, you need an USB AUDIO INTERFACE
I would suggest to buy a USB-AUDIO-DEVICE, which normaly offers you STEREO-OUT, STEREO-IN and you can plug in Keyboards, Microphones and External speakers, Mixing Knobs for playback and instrument signal and also the latency is better. prices starting from 30,oo EUR

My favorite is the PRESONUS AUDIOBOX (3 models: 22-VSL, USB-96 and I-TWO all three quasi the same, and suitable for your purposes). High End Amps, 8msec Latency, perfect routing facilities, price 85,oo-99,ooEUR. more info:
