Deleting long selections

I’m using Audacity 2.x on Windows 10.
Is there a way to use the selection toolbar for long (10 mins.) selections to be deleted? Manually selecting a long segment can’t be right.

Sure. Set the start time and end time, or start time and duration to be deleted. What’s the problem?
