Delete function stuck on 1 second increments

Windows 7. Audacity version 2.3.3 also previous 'beta version from around 2010

I’ve been using a beta version of Audacity successfully for several years to record and edit music, but lately there has been a problem with removing unwanted sections, with the delete function only working on one second increments and not functioning in fine detail at all. I have checked online, and replaced the beta version with the 2.3.3 version, but the same issue occurs. Can this be resolved and if so, how?

Perhaps you’ve accidentally enabled “Snap to nearest”.

Hi Trebor, and thanks for your response.
I didn’t receive a notification until yesterday, and since then have been searching for the “Snap to Nearest” instruction and finally found it by going through an Audacity uTube tutorial. Easy fix!
