delayed recording

Is there a way to hit the record button (“R”) and have Audacity not start recording for a 5 seconds or so? Is there way to DELAY RECORDING after hitting record? I hit record, and need time to run with my headphones to my drumset to overdub record.

It would be “possible” to use “Timer Record” (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/timer_record.html) but I’d suggest that you just start the recording and trim off the dead space after you have finished recording.
