David Bowie - "Everyone Says Hi (Metro Mix)" Vocal Effects??

Oops, I just noticed I was posting this in the wrong Forum :stuck_out_tongue:

Hi, I’m a Comedy/Parody Artist and I’m working on a Parody of “Everyone Says Hi (Metro Mix)” by David Bowie, but I’m not sure what effects to use to get the Faded/Echo-y sound he does with his Vocals in that song and the Robotic sound he does when he says “Everyone Says Hi”, could someone please help me with that so I can make my Parody sound a lil closer to the original song?? ^_6

I’m going to guess phasing/flanging and I hear echo. Phasing/flanging uses a delay so there may be multiple layers contributing to or causing the echo.

A vocoder comes in at 2:20 … https://youtu.be/bC8rdeV0UU4?t=140

Audacity has a vocoder built-in, but mda’s Talkbox plugin is better if you want the speech to be understood.

How do you use plugins on Audacity??

Then you have to enable the plugin so it appears on the Effects menu …

Awesome, thanx! ^_6
