Cursor Impossible to See in Audacity 2.4.2

Hello. I recently purchased a new Dell computer but have been using Audacity for a long time. I downloaded the latest version, which is Audacity 2.4.2.

With this new computer, I can’t really see the cursor when I go to select a portion of the audio track. It’s basically a miniature line. This makes it extremely difficult to edit my sound recording because I can’t see what I’m selecting until I actually choose it.

Is there a setting to fix this problem? Do I need a different version of Audacity?

I’d appreciate any help you can provide. I tried searching for a solution but didn’t find anything.

Unfortunately Audacity does not yet fully support high dpi display. This means that on a high dpi display, some elements (notably the cursor) appear very small. The only workaround that I’m aware of at this time is to reduce the computer’s display resolution.

I’m not able to test any other possible workarounds as my display is “only” 1920 x 1080.
