Creating and adjusting Click tracks

I have generated short click tracks (1 second) to indicate points in a backing track where my lead guitar parts come in. The backing track varies in loudness at various points and so my click tracks have to be loud enough to be heard above the backing track so they are currently adjusted to suit the loudest section of backing track. But that means, for a quieter section, the click track stands out too much. Is there a way to individually adjust the loudness of the generated click track. Currently, adjusting from the side menu affects all the click tracks the same. Thanks for your help.

Use the Envelope tool

Thanks Steve BUT I don’t think that will work. Currently I have my backing track as the main file and then, separately in Audio 1, quite a few short click tracks lasting 1 second approx. If I select the Audio 1 section and click F2 for the envelope tool the blue bars appear top and bottom of the main file NOT in the Audio 1 section. So, presumably, any adjustment will affect the volume of the main file and not the Audio 1 area. Is it possible to just affect the Audio 1 area, i.e. just the click tracks? Thank you.

The envelope only affects that audio clips that the envelope is drawn on.

If you are not doing so already, I’d recommend putting the click track on its own audio track.
