Here’s a very short video showing the crash occurring:
Is it something I can solve on my own or it will require waiting for another version of Audacity?

P.S.
I’m using Windows 10, with all latest updates installed (as of October 15 2022).
I’m using version 3.2.1 of Audacity.
This is a known and logged regression bug:
Crash editing Amplify (and some other effects) macro parameters #3769
https://github.com/audacity/audacity/issues/3769
If should be fixed for the next release - I have QA tested the fix for tins in a branch build of one of the developers,
The workaround is to use an older version of Audacity to create the Macro
Peter
Mine is also crashing. I go to Tools>Macros Manager> (my macro) Deamplify -2dB > insert> click “Amplify” > Insert parameters and then I get spinning rainbow wheel and have to force quit. HELP!
Thanks I will use the old version then until the next version is released with a possible fix. I’m not a huge user of audio software but I hoped to provide help by reporting this bug.
What you can do as a workaround is to create your Macro in an old version of Audacity and then use that Macro in the latest version.
Peter.
