Corrupted aup3 file need help

would there be someone willing to help with this issue.
I was editing a podcast yesterday and audacity crashed, when I tried to re-open the project I got the error:
Audacity failed to read file in C
I have gone through the steps with audacity project tools, but I seem to keep hitting a wall
I was able to create a recovered aup3 file, but when I tried to open it, the same error message came up of cannot read file from C
I’ve tried the recover db command and it came up with a giant list mentioning flags (not quite sure what that meant)
I then tried to use the export as a stereo and mono track cmd with no success.
If there is anyone who could help or at least let me know if I’ve exhausted all my options it would be very much appreciated.

I usually don’t have to do so many steps. I think you are going need input from one of the moderators or even the devs.
I hope you can sort it out though.

do you know of anyway that I can tag them or reach out to them? I’m pretty new to the fourms here

I don’t, I’m afraid, but they should see it. Despite you trying more than I usually do, I am still willing to try too if you like.

Sure, I’m open to any help just let me know what to do

I’ve just sent a PM with exactly that.

Eventually I was able to open this after using the Audacity project tools combo of ‘-recover_db AND -recover_project’ parameters. This was the trickiest one I’ve dealt with so far and the file was HUGE.
