Hi there,
On windows 11 64bit stuck on a corrupt file. Any advice would be super appreciated
Should note when my file corrupted I hadn’t yet updated to 3.7.7
Today I hit save on a large project I had added 40 or so tracks to before saving and closing (it already had a decent number of tracks before this session). Turned my pc off after the project was saved (for the only time during this session), and audacity was fully closed.
Turn on pc and go to open the project a while later, and get this error and some potentially valuable info
Audacity failed to read from a file in C:.
“event_id”: “e64cc4480278c54b96a7c03dc12ddbb6”,
“sqlite3.rc”: “11”,
“sqlite3.context”: “SqliteSampleBlock::Load::step”
Tried: Updated audacity, restarted+updated pc, relocated file, made sure write permissions were allowed in file location
Wound up here: GitHub - audacity/audacity-project-tools
Step 3 of the installation process says to unzip audacity-project-tools and move the two .exe files you’re left with into a subfolder named AudRepair in your downloads directory
When I download the zip from github and extract it the .exe files needed are missing
Forgive me if the answer is obvious, I’m not very tech-savvy
Considering the circumstances of the corruption, do we think this is a lost cause? If it’s its worth trying to recover, what am I missing?
Thanks for any help, if any important context is missing please let me know ![]()
