# Compression and noise filter not applying

I’m trying to apply compression settings and noise reduction effects to my audio (using Windows 10 and audio files are MP3s - but even when clicking ‘apply’ for these effects, the audio files don’t update - I see no difference in the waves in each file.  
This is only since the latest update rolled out

Win 10, Audacity 3.6.1 - Everything works as it should
