On OSX.10.5 Yosemite with Audacity 2.1.2, when I Command-Click to playback from a different place in the track, it plays in reverse, or bounces forward and backwards.
In 2.1.2, COMMAND-click invokes Scrubbing and Seeking.
To click and play at different points in the audio, click in the Timeline above the blue waves. See this link for details: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/timeline.html#tqp.
