colouring sound files

OSX 10.10 Yosemite - Audacity 2.1.2 from a .dmg download
Is there a way I can identify parts of a sound file by applying colour? I am sure I could do this (many years ago) in an earlier version.

No, that’s never been a feature in Audacity, though you can “label” parts of the waveform. See: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/label_tracks.html

Thanks. It was such a long time ago that it was probably another programme! However, the ‘labelling’ feature looks useful.

If you want to “vote” for colouring for tracks or clips, please ask.
