I have several long audio recordings that i have to get portions of and save as seperate audio files. I can not figure out how to do this. I have looked at several videos to do this but they have been of no help hoping experienced users may be able to help. i have today to do it.
Select each section in turn and use Export audio choosing Current Selection in the export dialog.
OR
label each portion you want with a range label and then use Export Multiple based on labels.

This is how I do it but I’m sure it’s not the only way.
In addition to the source file you have open, open another new project.
If the source is mono track, create a mono in new project.
Otherwise Stereo or split stereo.
In source select the range of what you want and copy.
In the new project select the track(s) you want to paste into and PASTE.
Rinse and repeat.
The process of using multi tracks to do this in the same project keeping everything together is the same. I do both depending on later plans I have for the project.
