Clipping limits

Ubuntu 20.04 Mate Audacity 2.3.3 installed from Ubuntu’s repository

I want to cut a couple of episodes from a recording, but Audacity only allows selections at regular second intervals, but I need to be able to set the boundaries anywhere.

Can anyone help me with this. Have used older versions of both Ubuntu and Audacity and then had the freedom to cut with great precision.

Snap To: on the bottom of the Audacity Window?

Set “Snap To” to “Off”. (see: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/selection_toolbar.html)
