Hello,
Is it possible to play a wav file of a chord and get a print out of the double stave notation for the chord?
Cheers,
Geoff

No. That’s sounds like something you would need a MIDI controller or sequencer to do. The problem is in recognizing which key you pressed…

That’s an analysis of either a chord on an organ or one single note on a concert grand piano. There’s no way to tell other than take my word that it’s the piano because I played the note.
MIDI, on the other hand, isn’t music. It deals strictly with passing instructions and music data back and forth and it’s a snap for a controller to build sheet music from the physical keys you pressed.
If there are no physical keys, if you’re trying to do this with with downloaded music, then no.

Thanks for your reply Koz.
