Is there a way to record my voice and then change the pitch? I want the recording to stay the same length. Kind of like Alvin he chipmunk, but not so extreme. I’ve tried changing the sample rate, bu it speeds up the recording.

Yes. Choose what you want to manipulate, and use the change pitch effect. But, realize that there will be unusual “remnants” from using this effect.
