Changing frequency

Hi, thanks in advance for anyone who can help with this issue: when I go to Change Pitch from Effects to change the frequency, the window won’t allow me to add a new number in the “from” box. It just rejects any input and all that happens is that ding sound the computer makes when a function is not allowed. I can delete the frequency that is already in the box, but it won’t allow me to input another. I’ve watched tutorials by other audacity users who were able to change out both the “from” and “to” settings, but mine not allowing. I have Audacity 2.0.3. I’m trying to change to 432 hz. So like the tutorial I mentioned instructs, I try to input 440 in the “from” box and 432 in the “to” box, but can only input the 432. Any idea what it could be and what I can do to override?

I’m seeing the same problem.

Try a -1.818% change.

P.S.
If you can live with a tempo change, it’s usually better to change pitch & tempo together (Effect → Change Speed). Changing speed & pitch independently requires FFT processing which can sometimes result in artifacts. A speed change is more straightforward and generally foolproof.

This is a weakness in the effect as shipped in Audacity 2.0.3 (and for quite a long time before).
Audacity 2.0.4 is due to be released very soon and the Change Pitch effect has been much improved

Thanks for tip!
