Change volume of the original audio to the copy

Hi there

I want to set a macro with this function :

Get a audio track and copy this one to a second track (with the same audio)
Change the volume, to 10% higher and export to mp3

I know its simple, but Have no idea how to do that

Thank you in advance

Why do you need to copy the audio rather than just change the volume and export?

Which exact version of Audacity are you using? (look in “Help menu > About Audacity”)

So you could start with this:

Amplify:Ratio="1.0488176"
ExportMp3:
Amplify:Ratio="0.95345455"

I am not sure how to Export only a single track with a Macro, so rather than duplicate, I just modified the original track. (which I suspect is what steve was thinking…)

The Ratios were produced by Audacity, when I input +.414 and -.414, which I got from an online calculator as being equivalent to 110%.

I hope this helps.
