Change the length of selection but maintain the sound

I do radio commercials and sometimes a recording will be 61 seconds, but I need them at 60 seconds. I used to use cool edit and they had a function that I would just put the length I wanted the recording to be and it would shrink or lengthen it to the requested time and maintain the pitch or sound of the recording. Does audacity have that function available?

Also, what is the best way to tell the exact length of a recording? is it only on the ruler above the recording or is there another way?

Click just above the MUTE button on the left of the track and select “Length” for the middle time window on the bottom. Koz

I think it’s Effect > Change Tempo. Koz
