Change tempo causes added silence file

Hihi, I have been using Audacity to edit sound files for a game and when I speed up the tempo of a bunch of audio files together, it adds silence to the end of the file to compensate. I know that using “change tempo and pitch” will not do that but I cannot have the pitch change. This started happening after one of the updates.

Attached is a picture of the silence thats added after the tempo change.

Please let me know how to stop this from happening because sometimes I have to deal with a few hundred sound files at a time and I dont want to have to go in and manually delete every silent region
