Change recording from 176.4kHz to 44.1kHz

using 2.2.2 and windows 7
I want to use faster rates (ex. 176.4kHz) and be able downgrade to 44.1k to create CD without re-recording everything. I’ve searched but haven’t found this capability. I doubt I’m first to think of this. Seems like it might be a popular idea, so I’ve probably missed something.

Set the “Project Rate” (bottom left corner of the main Audacity window) to 44100 before you export. The exported file will take its sample rate from the Project Rate.
