Catalina Recording Workaround Doesn't Work

Hello,

I have a brand new iMac running Catalina. I am trying to record using Audacity and, like the article says, it doesn’t work. However, I have tried the workaround by launching Audacity from the terminal command line and it is not working. I am not seeing a dialog asking me to give microphone permission.

When is this problem going to be fixed? Thanks.

We are hopeful that the next Audacity release will be properly supported by macOS.
