Can't record vocal

Hello everyone.
I’m using Audacity 3.6.1 on Windows 11.
For the audio setup I choose:
Host: MME, Playback device: speakers (Line 6 TonePort UX1), Recording device: Digital Audio Interface (Line 6).
However, my voice did not come out when I did the recording. All you can hear is the sound of the instrument.
Is there anyone here who can help solve this problem?
Thank you in advance, I appreciate your help.

Benny

I’M having the same issue. i like to see the fix. i’m using the same set up as you. PLEASE HELP US!

Did you disable the Windows Enhancements?

The enhancements may be the cause of this problem.

Disabling can fix this and other problems like this.

Turning enhancements off did not produce a positive result. I did trouble shooting from my turntable through all connections to my PC. All the hardware is in good working order. My PC sound card is in good working order. I believe the problem lies with Audacity. What can I do to correct this?
Please help!

Bob

Yes I disabled enhancements. I replaced the audio cable. i checked for Windows updates and none were available. I checked for updates on the PC itself. None are available. I am using Windows 11. I am using MME, 2 channel stereo, Microsoft Sound Mapper, I have turned the enhancements offf. The funny thing about this that I have several recordings from LP that are perfect with great volume and stereo. Nothing has changed from the earlier recordings. The only change was the left (voice) drop out. When I plug earphones into the pre-amp, the sound is perfect. Using volume corrections in the program do not produce a positive effect. I sure would like an answer here!

Hello bktdr51 bennysk, I will give you a photo link that I think will help you, I use this recipe on my own Win7 personal computer, with this setting you can record all the sounds coming out of your laptop, the only problem is that your sound card has a STEREO MIX feature, I hope I can be useful to you,
