Can't record sound from my behringer podcaststudio USB? Please help

Hi! I bought this to start making my new podcast.

But I can’t seem to record sound in audacity or on my computer at all for that matter? The lights on the mixer lights up green when I speak in the microphone and I can hear myself in the headphones, but theres no bouncing waves or meters in audacity. The computer does recognize that I have it plugged in because i can choose the microphone as my microphone and the headphones as my speakers both in audacity and my windows sound control panel. Has anyone else had this problem? Why can’t i record? Please help!

Choose the USB device as your [u]Recording Device[/u].

If you plug the headphones directly into the mixer you should be able to monitor yourself independently from the computer. That’s usually best because there is latency (a delay) through the computer and sometimes that latency is long-enough to make “performing” difficult.
