New install of Audacity 2.1.3 on Dell Inspiron 3252 running Win 10 Home, 1.6GHz, 8gb x64
Mono vocal track for podcast, radio. I’ve been using it for years on Mac and works great. Trying to get it to work at office desktop for convenience. So, PreSonus USB 96 X:R to USB interface and that works.
Records the first track and will pause and restart. If you stop and restart, it opens another track but timing doesn’t start and that’s pretty much it. Sometimes it gives a message regarding latency so track isn’t visible, and that it moved the point from negative or it said to use F5 key to move it. That message happened once or twice. Usually no message. But, it really didn’t record anything other than the first track.
I changed quality from 44kz to 96khz bc I thought that’s what the usb interface with usb96 in it’s name was doing, but that resulted in not even recording the first track. in fact, doing just what it does for 2nd and subsequent tracks. Then, realized its maximum was 48khz so moved it back to 44khz and it started recording first tracks again. 2nd and subsequents all say 44100 hz. Just thought that might be helpful. Thank you.
