Can't Record From USB Turntable

I’ve looked at many forum posts regarding this problem and I have gone through the manual. None of the suggested fixes are helping me. The PC and Audacity recognize my line in USB, but when I hit the record button, the waveform is just a flat line. I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong.

Audio Technica L120 turntable (supposedly one of the best for doing this work)
Windows 10
Recording level = .54
Playback level = 1.00
Interface Host = MME
Playback Device = Speakers/Headphones (Realtek(R)
Recording Device = Line (USB AUDIO CODEC)
Recording Channel2 = 2 (Stereo)
Project rate = 48000
Sound/Recording/Line/Properties/Listen = Default Playback Device
Sound/Recording/Line/Properties/Advanced = 2 channel, 16 bit, 48000 Hz

Any help is greatly appreciated.
